July 2015 - Colorado Springs Utilities needed to locate a 2" gas main running under pavement. The tracer wire was broken, making the locate extremely difficult.

Using Jameson's Live Tracer, they were able to trace uphill 150' under a road and then under a paved parking lot (400' total) without major excavation.

Live Tracer Featured In Damage Prevention Magazine

June 2015 - Damage Prevention’s spring issue featured an article on Jameson’s traceable rodders.

Mapping underground utilities presents unique challenges. Jameson’s traceable rodders travel the center of a pipe, eliminating large variances in locating and minimizing roadway disruption due to excavation.

Damage Prevention focuses on underground safety for gas, water, and electrical utilities.

Aerial Buddy Takes Fiber Across The Tennessee Mountains

May 2015 - JBL Communications has been testing Jameson’s Aerial Buddy sheaves on a fiber cable run in Tennessee since March 2015.

The crew was impressed by the sheave’s light weight and easy handling during cable installation at street level, but the real test came when running cable through rough mountain terrain.

Lines run long distances too far from the road for bucket trucks. Crew members hiked through dense brush then climbed poles while carrying the sheaves.

Jameson sheaves weigh 8 to 14 pounds. When compared to older metal models weighing up to 60 pounds, crew members said the Aerial Buddy made their job easier, saved time, and reduced the risk of injury.
